WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., Friday called on the Bush administration to tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in an effort to ease energy prices.
The request increases pressure on the administration – which is opposed to using the reserve to manipulate prices – to release crude from the emergency stockpile.
